October R.E.P.O.R.T.

Reading:
In October, I read 8 books!
2 books less than last month, because it was my birthday month and I was traveling for the first half of the month. I always think I'm going to read a ton on vacation and then I never do lol. She's living *in the moment* folks!
Still in my cowboy romance era if you can't tell...
Eating:
My latest TikTok recipe hyperfixation!
Me and 7 million other girlies saw this recipe online and immediately got out our blenders. I made it with the pasta shape Zucca, which looks like little pumpkins!! Very on brand for October <3 I made it for my bestie who immediately asked for the recipe and has made it three times since.
Playing:
This month's Spotify "On Repeat"
Not only does TikTok influence what I'm cooking up in the kitchen, it of course massively impacts my Spotify playlists. I've had That's So True by Gracie Abrams on repeat obsessively trying to learn every word to that iconic bridge.
I would also be remiss to mention that Liam Payne's tragic death reinspired my One Direction phase -- my childhood has been FLASHING in front of my eyes this whole last month. Night Changes, Fireproof, Diana, C'mon C'mon, More Than This, Steal My Girl, Love You Goodbye, and What a Feeling are my all time favorites even though they did not make this month's On Repeat playlist.
Who else saw the new song Chappell Roan teased on SNL? I need The Giver and The Subway on Spotify ASAP!! Feed us mother!!
Obsessing:
Sapph-Lit is now a publishing imprint!
I am still not over this news. I've been working so hard behind the scenes to make this happen and all of your support means the world to me! If you're able, I hope you consider becoming a part of the Inner Circle or even a Producer for Sapph-Lit. There are so many perks and I can't wait to start this journey with you all. Pitches are coming in and I'm reviewing them all so soon!!
Recommending:
Sapph-Lit's November book!
Weaving the personal with powerful critique, Heretic explores how we can radically abandon these painful systems by taking a sledgehammer to the comfortable. Whether searching for community in the face of millennial loneliness or wanting to reclaim a secular form of fellowship in everyday life, Kadlec envisions the brilliant possibilities that come with not only daring to want a different way but actually striking out and claiming it for ourselves.

Treating:
My birthday trip to Paris!
I think Paris may be my favorite city in the world, not to sound like a 20 year old girl who just came back from study abroad there wearing a beret and pronouncing croissant like QUOI SAWNT to the poor Starbucks drive through employee (I encourage her to boycott ofc)
My partner spoiled me rotten all week. We just walked around shopping, drinking, eating every single day and it was exactly what I wanted. We also stayed in a spa hotel in the Marais that had this gorgeous Roman bath in a basement grotto, and spent the morning of my birthday floating in there <3 This is my fourth time in Paris and every time I go I can see myself living there one day. Truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
Shopping haul anyone?
See you at the end of November for my next REPORT!
xx Nina
